About Me

My photo
I am a stay at home mom. I am married to a wonderful man and we have the cutest little boy. We are in the process of adopting a little girl from Uganda. This is the reason for starting a blog. I am making these bows and selling them so that I can get enough money for the adoption costs.

Well after a long journey to pick up Kenty we ended up coming home without her. The judge wouldn't give us the ruling until after we were scheduled to leave. Which meant we couldn't get a visa until after the ruling and it could take a few weeks. The judge was supposed to give the ruling today but she never showed up to court. Nice. She had a long weekend they said so she should be in tomorrow. I pray that if theres no way we can get a visa for her that the judge would just say no. It's really stressful not knowing if we will be able to bring her home. We got really attached to her while we were in Uganda. She called us mama and daddy. She was alot of fun and is very happy all the time. I miss her. I have cried alot but God has taught me so much through this process. I am just waiting for the ruling so I can breathe. I will give more updates later.

Well we started decorating Kenty and Jeremiah's room this week. I have made it a girl/boy room. the base color is a grey-blue and one one side of the room I put pinkish purple dots and on the other side of the room I put light green dots. We bought Kenty's bed and letters to hang on the wall over her bed just like we had for Jeremiah. It looks so amazing because they have their sides of the wall and it looks good at the same time. Jeremiah wanted to sleep in her bed that first night we set it up and we told him it was Kenty's bed, well he asked "where is Kenty?". it was so cute. We have her picture up so Jeremiah can see her everyday and he walks by her picture and kisses her. I think he is starting to understand that Kenty is going to be living here and he walks by Kenty's bed and verifies whose bed it is. It's so much fun buying little girl things, I'm excited to use some of the bows I made for Kenty:) Anyways. I am pretty excited and I can't wait to have her here.

Well today we had our home study and it was awesome. The lady who interviewed us is a Christian and she was such a wonderful person. We talked for three hours and when we were done she said we should have all our paperwork in two weeks and then we can go to Uganda and pick up our little girl. I had so many emotions today. I smiled most of the day and I also wanted to cry because I love Kenty so much even though we have never met. My husband and I went to Wal-mart and bought paint to get her room ready. Now begins the process of buying things for her. Our previous child was a boy so we have only boy things. So now we need to buy a bed, car seat and clothes and or coarse girl toys:) This has been such a wonderful day. Thank you Lord.

Our story

Just a little info about us. My name is Mary Ercoli and my husbands name is Josh Ercoli. We have a little boy who is 2 years old and his name is Jeremiah. When my husband first got out of high school he started traveling doing full time ministry. He traveled the states and preached at schools, churches and did street evangelism. I am from a big city and Josh came and spoke at the school I went to. Well long story short I asked to go with Josh's team for the summer and by that next January we were married. Once we got back from our honeymoon we went straight into missions. We traveled all over the states continuing the work he had started. Our ministry name was Souled Out Int.. We started traveling to other countries a year after we were married. This is when we made our first trip to Uganda, Africa. We had a hard time the first weeks adjusting to the extreme conditions. By the end of the trip we fell in love with the people. We visited a few orphanages and thought we would love to adopt from Uganda someday. We revisited a few years later and saw some amazing things. Throughout the years I have kept in contact with our dear friend Charles who is from Uganda. He and another couple started and orphanage and this is how we heard of Kenty. Her mother is Charles' cousin and she left Kenty at the orphanage begging to find a mother for her daughter. When Charles first told me about Kenty I knew that we were to adopt her. The process started in Sept of 09 and we will be able to go to Uganda and bring her home the end of March.
The purpose of this blog is to ask others for their prayer support and to see if I can sell some of my bows (hence the name A Bow for Kenty)
If you are interested in my bows or helping out in any other way please feel free to contact me. I take orders and I will ship anywhere in the U.S. shipping applies.
Thanks for taking the time to read our blog
